Yahoo!’s Blueprint: Now Yahoo inviting developers to code mobile applications

Google is already involved in their Android mobile platform which would be a full fledged mobile operating system.

Now, Yahoo has announced that they are inviting coders to develop mobile applications.

Yahoo!’s Blueprint is their new open platform for these mobile applications.

In addition, Yahoo has also now announced their oneConnect iPhone app which is designed to bring oneConnect functionality on the Apple iPhone.

Marco Boerries, executive vice president, Yahoo! Connected Life spoke about this new project: “Yahoo! Blueprint solves the most challenging problem plaguing today’s mobile landscape—now with one click, you can write once and have mobile services run across a critical mass of devices and operating systems, potentially reaching millions of users.”

This new platform is totally open source.
