Online sources are indicating that Microsoft might be close to launching smartphones in the Chinese market.
These phones are likely to be based on an updated edition of Windows Phone platform codenamed Tango.
Tango is said to be an update focused on devices with cheaper hardware specifications. This would allow manufacturers to sell smartphones at lower prices compared to Android and iPhone.
Smartphones to be sold in the Chinese market are likely to be loaded with apps for local services instead of international ones (Facebook, Twitter etc.) which are usually blocked here.
