Microsoft has finally revealed the different editions of Windows 8 that would be offered later this year.
For consumers, there are going to be two versions. Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro.
Windows 8 would be a full featured edition with no limitations. Windows 8 Pro would have extra functionalities not required by common users like encryption, virtualization, PC management and domain connectivity.
Windows Media Center would be offered as a paid add-on for the owners of Windows 8 Pro.
Windows RT is going to be the version that would support ARM processor based devices. It is unlikely to be offered in the market as it would come preloaded with Tablet PCs and similar devices.
Microsoft would also offer a special enterprise edition of Windows 8 for corporate customers. This edition is named Windows 8 Enterprise.
