Windows 8 on ARM might just offer the Metro Tablet user interface

Microsoft has yet to confirm how they plan to support traditional Windows apps on the ARM platform with Windows 8.

Online sources are now reporting that the company might have to ditch the traditional desktop from Windows 8 designed for ARM processors.

Windows 8 on ARM might just offer the Metro Tablet user interface

This means that Tablets and maybe netbooks based on ARM processors might just support the Metro user interface optimized for touchscreens.

Intel powered devices would support both Metro and the traditional desktop interface on Windows 8.

It is just a rumor currently. Microsoft has not released any statement on these reports. But it would make Windows 8 a solid alternative to Apple iPad and Android based Tablets.
