Twitter to allow full access to User Streams to third party clients

Twitter has announced that third party clients would soon get full access to User Streams.

The company would be developing a push technology to send the latest updates to the clients in real time.

Currently, Twitter clients pull data from Twitter after a particular time period as there is a limit on the number of times data can be pulled from an account.

This would drastically improve the quality of service provided by third party clients which now face competition from Twitter’s own products.

Twitter is also planning to add a new feature on their network called Annotations. Annotations would allow users to add meta data to their tweets.
