TCS to expand in Gandhinagar, Gujarat
Indiaâ€™s leading IT company TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) has announced their plans to expand their operations by opening up a new unit in Gandhinagar in Gujarat. They would be establishing this new base in the city in three phases.
The first phase of this establishment would enable the company house 2,000 seats once fully commissioned. The complete unit is expected to become operational in around 18 months. TCS said in a statement that this new establishment would cater to the needs of the government and utility sector clients.
In addition, it would also cater to the ERP projects being executed by the company for the global clients. TCS is already working with the Gujarat government on several projects and the in-house unit would also benefit their other operations in the state.
TCS CEO and Managing Director S Ramadorai said in a statement on their plans in Gujarat: “TCS plans to play an integral role in the further development of the Gujarat economy by working with corporations and helping train and develop the talent in the State.â€
