Tata Consultancy Services has big goals for the future
India’s top software exporter Tata Consultancy Services has set themselves a target of a five-fold increase in its revenues over the next four years. TCS aims to become a $10 billion firm by 2010.
For this massive growth, they have earmarked a capital expenditure to the tune of Rs 1,300 crores for the current fiscal. The company has already said that they aim to add on around 30,000 employees during the year.
Tata group chairman Ratan Tata spoke about these goals at the company’s Annual General Meeting: “We aim to become among the top ten (IT companies) by 2010 with revenues touching USD 10 billion over the next four years. The company will leverage the booming IT industry which is witnessing rapid growth during these years.”
TCS is planning to spend Rs 1,000 crores towards real estate development in the coming years and this would include setting up campuses at in various parts across the country.
