NASSCOM to spearhead ICT session at the international Smart Cities India 2015 expo

Adoption of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) will ensure efficient use of resources, socio-economic development, and help transform India into a country of digitally connected cities. Supporting the Smart Cities vision and Digital India program, National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) is the technology partner for the Smart Cities India 2015 expo.

Organized by the Exhibitions India Pvt. Ltd., the expo is scheduled to be held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from 20th to 22nd May 2015. The focus of the expo is ‘Smarter Solutions for a Better Tomorrow.’

Smart IT and communications is the nerve center for smart cities to improve the lives of citizens in urban and rural areas by means of sustainable integrated solutions.

To facilitate dialogue between the government stakeholders for smart cities including central and state government officials, municipal commissioners, mayors, city planners, architects, builders and IT industry leaders, NASSCOM is spearheading 3 important sessions at the expo. These sessions are:

The NASSCOM sessions will discuss a range of topics on innovative technology and solutions to support the governments’ ambitious plans to create 100 smart cities and rejuvenate 500 existing cities. The Indian cabinet has recently approved a sum of Rs. 48,000 crore for the smart Cities mission in the next five years. The center will provide assistance of Rs. 100 crore per year for five years to each of 100 cities.

Authentication Solution Providers’ Association (ASPA), the world’s only non-profit Association representing the interests of the entire authentication solutions industry, is exhibiting at the seventh edition of the Label Expo 2014 being held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi on October 29 – November 01, 2014. We are not sure what superiority they have to offer over other 3G service providers in the Indian market. What really matters is when they launch their network and how they price the packages.

Auto Expo 2010 begins tomorrow

Auto Expo is all set to begin from tomorrow in the capital city of Delhi.

The organizers of this event are expecting to see at least 2 million visitors this time around.

Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers said: “We will have 40 percent more visitors this time and will have over 10 global launches and 50 other launches with all well-known auto makers taking part”.

Heavy Industries Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and Commerce Minister Anand Sharma would inaugurate the event for public visitors on January 7.

SIAM, Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) are all involved in the organization of this mega event which takes place at Pragati Maidan in Delhi.

India International Trade Fair open now

The 29th edition of the India International Trade Fair is now open for public.

This trade fair runs for a period of 2 weeks and is an yearly event.

China is the focus country of this latest edition while Thailand is the partner nation.

It is currently open for business visitors. Public would be allowed in from November 19.

Business visitors can enter the venue (Pragati Maidan) with an entry fee of Rs 400.

For regular visitors, entry fee would be Rs. 30 on weekdays and Rs. 60 on weekends.
