Hindustan Motors to assemble Isuzu vehicles for sale in India

We might soon have Isuzu branded SUVs and light commercial vehicles on sale in India.

The company is collaborating with Hindustan Motors to bring their products to India.

HM would import the components from Isuzu and assemble it at their plant for domestic sale.

The two companies said:

The components for producing these vehicles will be imported by Isuzu Motors from Thailand and assembled in the Thiruvallur factory of HML

Isuzu MU7 SUV and DMAX pickup truck are two products that are likely to be selected for the first round of launch.

Isuzu multi-purpose pick-up vehicle D-Max could come to India

Isuzu has said that they are planning to bring their multi-purpose pick-up vehicle D-Max to the Indian market.

This vehicle could be launched here within the next two years.

A company representative said: “India is a very important market for us. We have plans to launch our successful pick-up truck D-Max here in the next two years but it has lots of strong competitors.”

Isuzu Motors Ltd General Manager (Southwest Asia Group) Tac Shindo added: “We have already showcased the vehicle in the Indian Auto Expo in Delhi earlier this year and the response was overwhelming. So, we intend to bring in D-Max to Indian market. But how? That is being worked out.”
