Servion Global Solutions, specialist in delivering Customer Interaction Management solutions and enhancing customer interactions across touch points, today announced the commencement of their CSR initiative ”Paripalan” with tree plantations in and around Dr. VSI Estate, Thiruvanmiyur. The initiative is a volunteer based CSR model driven by Servion employees.
‘Paripalan’ is a Sanskrit word that means ‘nurture’. True to its name, the vision of Paripalan is to focus on sustainability with a strong emphasis on education and the environment for a better tomorrow. Inspired by the vision of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Servion has taken up the task of planting and nurturing flora to establish a sustainable and greener future. Employee volunteers, being brand ambassadors of the cause, are aggressively and consistently communicating the cause of afforestation in their respective circles.
Servion partnered with Nizhal, a Chennai based NGO with vision to green urban areas with focus on regenerating biodiversity. Nizhal researched the bio-diversity of the area and recommended specific species of plants to ensure a holistic tree plantation drive with focus on sustainability.
In line with Servion’s CSR philosophy which emphasizes in holistic development of the society to ensure a sustainable and a safe future for next generation, the employee volunteers of the organization will continue to implement the initiative in multiple phases, while also expanding into the horizons of Child Education as a cause.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Rangarajan M., Executive Director – Strategic Business Development, Servion Global Solutions said, ’Paripalan’ is a humble step towards transiting the current environmental outlook to a greener tomorrow. At Servion, we treat CSR as a contribution that needs to be much more than monetary, with emotional involvement and physical service. This event is just a baby step of what we hope will be a significant movement. ”
”The enthusiasm of the employees to volunteer for on-ground CSR activities has exponentially risen since the inception of the idea. The proactive participation of our employees towards the cause of the hour goes on to show that we have been successful in creating a culture of volunteerism at Servion. We will continue to work together to contribute significantly towards a greener future.” added, Latha Nambisan, President – People and Culture, Servion Global Solutions.
