Samsung has announced a special variant of Galaxy S III smartphone aimed at Verizon customers who want to get a device with unlocked bootloader.
This model would be sold as an unlocked device compatible with Sprint CDMA and LTE networks.
It would sell for USD 600 without any contract. Samsung would sell it directly to interested consumers (developers basically).
Standard warranty would apply so if you brick your phone, Samsung would not replace the device for you. But the company would provide warranty for manufacturing related problems.
