Research in Motion: Blackberry 10 devices to launch late next year

Research in Motion has more bad news for their followers. The company has admitted that they would not be able to launch their next generation smartphones in the coming months.

The Blackberry 10 platform based devices would only arrive late next year because of technical reasons.

The company said that this platform would require “a highly integrated chipset that will not be available until mid-2012”.

Blackberry 10 was previously named BBX though the company was forced to change the name for legal reasons.

It is expected to be their answer to the market leaders Google Android and Apple iOS devices.

Looks like things are going to remain calm at RIM for another couple of months before we can see the interesting devices that they have been promising to use for a couple of months now!
