Apple set to close down Quattro Wireless network
Wall Street Journal has reported that Apple has started alerting clients of Quattro that they are closing down the Quattro Wireless advertising network later this month.
The entire focus would shift on their own Apple iAd advertising platform which works exclusively on the Apple iOS.
Apple had acquired Quattro earlier this year which was largely seen as a move in respond to Google’s acquisition of AdMob.
It remains to be seen how successful Apple iAd platform becomes in the mobile ecosystem considering it is focused on just Apple’s own mobile devices.
