A new project is now available on GitHub. It’s called Python for Android.
Python for Android allow developers to package their apps coded in python and make them available on the Google Android platform.
The project is managed by the Kivy organization but it can be used by anyone.
Mathieu Virbel provided details on how to setup the development environment:
1. Ensure you have Android SDK/NDK downloaded and correctly installed
2. Ensure you have some environment set
3. Create a Python distribution containing the selected modules
4. Use that distribution to build an APK of your Python application
