Online sources are reporting that Nokia might be in talks to sell their premium Vertu brand.
The reports claim that venture capitalist firm Permira is one of the interest parties and they are willing to offer around USD 265 million for the brand.
Nokia of course has not made any statement on these reports yet.
Nokia has switched to Windows Phone as the platform for their latest smartphones. Vertu has stayed with the Symbian OS. Nokia is also making huge losses as they are yet to recover from the time it took them to launch their first generation WP devices. Selling Vertu would bring in the much needed cash flow.
