Nokia 808 PureView would arrive in the Indian market later this month.
The company is likely to price it at around Rs. 30,000 based on online reports. Real world pricing would of course be lower than the official MRP.
This would put it in competition with the high end Android devices. Nokia 808 PureView is based on Symbian which can hardly afford such a high price tag but the selling point of the phone is the camera which is unmatchable amongst the competition.
Nokia has equipped this phone with a 41 megapixel sensor which can be used to take extremely high quality photos at 8 megapixels.
The phone is powered with a single core 1.3GHz processor and 512MB RAM. It would ship with 16GB of onboard storage. It is expected to become a niche offering targeted people who want a high capability camera on their phone.
