MySpace.com to soon introduce security measures
MySpace.com is one of the fastest growing online communities, which gets as much traffic as the search engine Google as per some statistics. However, this social networking website is also making news for all the bad reasons.
This Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. owned portal has been a victim of its own success with many stories coming out on how online predators have used this service to contact young teens resulting in some horror endings.
The company has now stated that they are working on enhancing the security of their services to prevent any more such instances in the future. The aim is to prevent the 60 million strong community (and growing) becoming victims of crime.
MySpace.com has also been told by the attorney general for Connecticut’s state government to tighten the access to their service and improve on its age verification system.
