Microsoft reveal details about Office for Mac 2011
Microsoft would launch the next edition of their Office suite for the Apple Mac platform later this year.
The company showcased the product under development at the ongoing Macworld event.
Microsoft spoke about this upcoming version of Office for Mac: “Together with your team—officemates, family or classmates—you are part of the community that helps shape each version of Office for Mac. You’ve told us that working together across platforms is a priority to you and that’s why we are making Office for Mac 2011 the best, most compatible productivity suite on the Mac.”
Microsoft has already stated that they are going to replace Entourage with a Mac edition of Outlook.
There is one major good news. The company said that Mac edition of Outlook would be able to import PST files from the Windows edition of Outlook.
Microsoft has not revealed the pricing scheme for Office for Mac 2011.
