Maruti Suzuki India has increased the price of their bestselling sedan model DZire.
The prices are up by up to Rs. 12,000 depending upon the variant.
The company said:
The company is feeling the pressure of input costs. To mitigate the impact, we have hiked the prices of only diesel variants of the new DZire with effect from May 1.
Maruti Suzuki DZire was revamped recently with a shorter length to get into the lower tax bracket implemented by the Indian government.
This model is available in both petrol and diesel editions and demand is high enough to result in a waiting period.
