Internet Explorer 8 adoption is slow

Microsoft has just launched the stable edition of Internet Explorer 8.

The launch has been pretty low key affair compared to how Mozilla launched the version 3 of Firefox web browser.

As a result, not many web users have updated to the Internet Explorer 8 edition.

It has however overtaken Google Chrome in terms of market share.

StatCounter Global Stats claimed that usage of IE 8 accounted for only 1.56 percent of global Internet traffic on Friday.

The reviews of Internet Explorer 8 are also pretty mixed. Some users are complaining about the problems arising in the new edition… while others are pretty impressed with the improvements.

Rest of the web users are continuing to stick with Firefox or Chrome or Opera or Safari!
