Indonesia has become the latest country to target Research in Motion.
Government here wants access to encrypted messages transferred on the Blackberry network. And they are threatening a ban on Blackberry Messenger and Blackberry Mail services if their demands are not met.
A government representative said: “With the condition as it is now, we warn that the country’s users to be cautious about using BlackBerry because the data exchanged is not safe or cannot be guaranteed of its safety.”
India is already one of the countries where RIM is facing a similar problem. And they are close to finding out a solution which pretty much kills the privacy aspect of their platform.
