Google has rolled out another update on their platform. The company said that they would warn users who they believe are being targeted by state sponsored hack attacks.
A warning message would be shown the logged in users whose accounts are being attacked continuously from sources which appears to be connected to government bodies around the world.
Google spoke about this initiative:
When we have specific intelligence—either directly from users or from our own monitoring efforts—we show clear warning signs and put in place extra roadblocks to thwart these bad actors. Today, we’re taking that a step further for a subset of our users, who we believe may be the target of state-sponsored attacks.
Google sends me this message: “…state-sponsored attackers may be attempting to compromise your account or computer.” Thanks, China.
