Google has updated their Google Translate mobile app for the Apple iPhone platform.
This updated app now supports five new languages: Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu.
Support for these languages is in alpha stage.
With this update, the app for the iPhone now supports as many as 63 languages. Google already support these new languages on their desktop and mobile web apps.
The updated app supports the ability to view dictionary results for single words and to display romanizations for these new Indic languages. So even if you can’t read the script the words are written in, you can still take a shot at reading the translation.
