Google to establish their new research center in Ann Arbor, Michigan

Search engine giants Google are due to announce their upcoming office and research center coming up at Ann Arbor, Michigan.

This was reported by New York Times, which said that this new development would be revealed officially in the media by Michigan Gov. Jennifer M. Granholm in a news conference at the state capitol in Lansing today.

NYT added that this center would be used by Google for technology development and customer support. The report also added that around 40,000 square feet of space would be utilized by a library digitization project.

Google’s Book Search program is aiming to digitize the seven million volumes available in the University of Michigan’s libraries where Larry Page, one of Google’s founders earned his undergraduate degree in engineering.
