Google might be using reCAPTCHA to OCR street addresses!

Some online users are reportedly seeing images from the Google Street View in reCAPTCHA puzzles.

This has led to new speculation that Google could be using this platform to get accurate data on the street addresses on Google Maps.

It is not clear what they would plan to do with this information. Maybe it would be used in Google Maps Navigation platform.

Users are usually shown two images to decode. One is taken from the Street View imagery while the other one is the usual stuff from books.
