Google Reader now shows embedded video and audio content

Google Reader @googlereader has revealed that they have now added support for < video > and < audio > tags in the feeds.

These tags are supported by most new generation web browsers (other than Internet Explorer sadly).

However, the ability to play the video would still depend upon the browser and the content publisher.

Opera and Firefox users would not get the ability to play content in H.264 format. Google Chrome and Apple Safari support H.264 media.
