Google might give 100GB free storage on Google Drive to Chrome OS users!

François Beaufort has found an interesting titbit in the Chromium Code Review platform.

He believes that Google is going to announce free 100GB storage on the Google Drive for the owners of Chromebox and Chromebooks.

These devices does not feature much internal storage. Almost all the data is stored in the cloud which makes it necessary for Google to offer something like this.

100GB is not comparable to the current generation hard drives that ship with laptops but it would still be a good offer for people who invested in these Chrome OS devices.

Google normally charges USD 5 per month for 100GB storage on Google Drive.
