Google Chrome for Android likely to exit beta soon

Sundar Pichai, senior vice president of Chrome and Apps has stated that they are pretty close to taking Chrome for Android out of beta.

Google recently released a pretty solid update of this mobile web browser which added features based on user feedback.

They are now working on fixing the major bugs before it can be taken out of beta.

Pichai said:

We launched beta 2. We addressed a few things. Mainly right now, I’m driven by bug quality and stability. We are triaging, tracking, and trying to make it very stable. It is in a matter of weeks.

Google Chrome for Android remains an Ice Cream Sandwich only app. it is not clear if Google plans to release it for older editions of the Android platform.
