Google Chrome 5 launched in stable channel

Google Chrome developers have launched the first Chrome 5 release for users on stable channel!

Dev channel users are incidentally already on version 6 of Google Chrome.

Google Chrome also is now stable on all the three popular platforms: Windows, Mac and Linux.

Some of the new features in this version for users who are on stable channel:

Browser sync can now sync bookmarks along with browser preferences such as “themes, homepage and startup settings, web content settings, preferred languages, and even page zoom settings”.

Google Chrome Extensions can now be made to work in incognito mode.

Google Chrome 5 also brings in support for a couple of new HTML5 technologies like Geolocation APIs, App Cache, web sockets, and file drag-and-drop.

Adobe Flash Player is however not yet integrated in this build.
