Google closing in on adding support for app storage on memory cards on Android

Google Android might have reached version 2.1 but it still does not support storing of applications on the external memory cards.

Android currently require all the apps to be installed on the internal memory which is usually not much.

This prevents the user from installing big apps on their Android devices.

Google had stated a couple of months back that they were working on adding support for the same.

Developers working on the Android project have apparently completed their work on this functionality.

It remains to be seen when this new feature is pushed to the Android users around the world.
