Gateway, Fujitsu showcases Intel Dual Core Processor based laptops
Fujitsu Computer Systems and Gateway have unveiled their new laptop products at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. These new products are targeted primarily at the consumer sector and use some of the latest microprocessors from the tech giants Intel. Fujitsu announced their new laptops namely LifeBook N6410 and the LifeBook E8110, which would be powered by the new Intel Duo processors.
These notebooks would be featuring the newly launched dual-core processor for mobile computing from the tech giant Intel along with the Mobile Intel 945 Express Chip set, and the company’s PRO/Wireless 3945ABG network WLAN connection technology. These would be made available in the retail market in the first half of the current year itself.
In addition, Gateway announced their new products NX860 for home and home-office users, and the M685-E for businesses. Both of these new laptops are powered by Intel’s Centrino Duo technology and would be available in the retail market next month. However, both Fujitsu and Gateway refused to reveal the prices of these machines.
Gateway however also added that they are planning to launch a high-performance desktop PC using Intel’s Viiv technology.
