Flickr offering more photo sizes to Pro members

Flickr has rolled out some more updates on their network.

They are now offering two new photo sizes for images uploaded by their users.

Flickr would have photos in sizes 2048 pixels and 1600 pixels for all uploads since March 1.

Pro account holders also now get the option to pick the top resolution that is used for displaying their images publicly.

Flickr further said that they are using a lower compression setting for resized images compared to rival services so they look better on their network.

The company said:

The new sizes are available for all photos that you have uploaded since March 1st. For each photo we are generating the two new 2048 pixels and 1600 pixels sizes (unless the uploaded image is smaller on the longer side). These new larger image sizes will make your photos look even more stunning on Flickr.
