Facebook has revealed that they are working on mobile ads based on user location.
These would soon be offered to advertisers using their platform.
Facebook has been struggling to generate revenues through their mobile apps. Their desktop edition is literally ad filled.
Location based ads would be better for mobile users considering they are on the move and would be interested in getting deals and offers in their vicinity.
Facebook also said that there is very high interest in mobile only newsfeed ads they are now offering to potential advertisers.
