Facebook has updated the ticker shown to the users on the right side of the service and it would now include sponsored stories.
Sponsored Stories platform was launched recently and is one of the many advertising options offered by the company.
The idea is to push ads in the top half of the page at places where people would notice them.
The response to sponsored stories has been pretty good till now. They get more clicks than regular advertising.
But mixing them up with updates from friends and relatives might cause some grief to the users of the service.
Ads on Facebook are now hard to ignore even though they are usually not old fashioned and have a social element to them.
