Facebook Search gets search suggestions functionality
Social networking giant Facebook has improved their search engine service to provide search suggestions.
Facebook search already suggest users, groups and fan pages from your connections.
It would now suggest new items based on several factors.
The company said in a blog posting:
Now as you’re typing in a query in the search bar, you will instantaneously see results not only of the people, events, groups and Pages you’re connected with but also the connections of your friends and globally relevant results. You’ll see a wider variety of relevant results and be able to discover new connections you might want to make on Facebook right as you’re entering your search.
This feature is similar to regular search engines which provide suggestions based on user’s past history and general searches conducted on the web.
