Facebook IPO means one thing. The company can no longer ignore opportunities to generate more revenues just to keep their users happy.
The company claims that almost half of their members check their network using a mobile device.
Yet they are not monetizing the mobile apps which are available for all popular mobile platforms.
This means only one thing… They would have to start monetizing their mobile services. This would include their apps and the mobile website.
We could soon start seeing ads and sponsored stories and other form of advertising in the Facebook Mobile ecosystem because there is simply no alternative out.
Twitter is already monetizing their mobile apps through promoted twitter accounts and trends.
