Online reports indicate that Facebook would finally start monetizing their mobile apps and mobile web app through advertising in the form of sponsored stories.
Facebook desktop edition already has regular ads in addition to sponsored stories that feature in the user’s news ticker.
This could become part of the user’s mobile stream in the coming months.
The company has around 350 million users who access the service through a mobile device.
They are likely to complain but the fact remains that the service need to monetize all the elements of their services.
