Facebook has pushed some minor updates to their web platform.
Here are the changes that are now live:
Facebook has updated the categories for games. Some new categories have been added like “Casino”, “Family”, “Sports”, “Strategy” and “Word”. Role Playing has been changed to Adventure. Virtual World has been renamed to Simulation.
The app bookmarks have been updated too. Users would now see six of them on their dashboard instead of four. Facebook added:
We’ve also updated bookmark counters on the home page to clear automatically once clicked, similar to how notifications behave. Previously, these counters would clear once the requests expired or were deleted by the developer. This update should make it clearer to users when they have a pending action and drive greater re-engagement.
Apps and Games dashboard have been combined.
And probably the biggest update is that the company is now testing delivery of games feed in their mobile apps and web app. this would entice more developers to come up with games that can run inside the mobile web browser.
