Facebook fixes security glitch on their chat network
Facebook has admitted that there was a security flaw in how their chat system behaved on their service.
They shut down the system once they were alerted about the flaw. Facebook Chat is back online now after the company fixed the problems.
Facebook admitted that for a limited period of time, friends of a user could view chat messages and pending friend requests.
The company said: “When we received reports of the problem, our engineers promptly diagnosed it and temporarily disabled the chat function. We also pushed out a fix to take care of the visible friend requests.”
Facebook continues to make news for the privacy related fiascoes and this latest glitch is not going to help their reputation.
