Apple confirms display problems on Intel powered Macs
iPod maker Apple has confirmed rumors in the market that their recently launched Intel powered Macintosh computers are facing issues related to display. Users have reported problems like random horizontal lines, ghosting, video tearing and other problems when playing video on Apple’s Front Row media browser.
Apple Computers said in a statement: “Apple is aware of this issue and is looking into it. If a customer has any technical issues, they should contact AppleCare.” However, the problems are not visible when the users play the videos using the Apple’s QuickTime Player.
Mac users are still reporting other display related issues when they alt-tab between applications or performing certain tasks in the Apple iMovie application. Mac experts believe that the problem is related to the graphic card shipped in these machines, which is the ATI Radeon X1600. ATI has not yet commented on these reports in the media.
