Chromoting would allow Google Chrome OS to run legacy apps!
Chromium documents are suggesting that Google Chrome OS developers are working on a new functionality codenamed Chromoting that would allow users to run legacy applications on their machines.
Google Chrome OS is essentially a web based operating system that is designed to run from within a web browser.
Little has been revealed about this new functionality though there are reports that it could mean running a virtual session of the application from within the browser.
This means that the user would have to have access to a second machine with the required apps. We should hear more about it in the coming months.
