Brad Garlinghouse is the head of the AOL’s Silicon Valley operations. And he has just announced that he is leaving the company.
He joined AOL back in 2009 to help in getting the company back on track. AOL has been struggling ever since their dialup business became outdated.
The company owns some of the most popular blogs on the web today and has been expanding their editorial department to become one of the best online sources for news and information.
But revenues and profits are not impressive and the company continues to struggle.
Garlinghouse spoke about his decision to leave AOL: “Hard decision as I’m leaving a bunch of awesome people — working on some very good stuff — but decided it was time.”
