Apple Safari might soon support extensions officially

Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome officially support third party add-ons.

Apple Safari is the only major browser along with Opera to not support such extensions.

This might soon change as Apple is expected to announce support for such utilities at the upcoming Apple Worldwide Developers Conference 2010.

The rumors started from a statement made by DaringFireball’s John Gruber. He is not an Apple employee but has been rumored to have internal connections with the company.

Apple Safari is available for both Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows though it is not very popular on the latter.
