Steve Jobs: Apple iTunes updates are not that big
Apple is often criticized for the download sizes of their application updates. And almost always for the right reasons.
Apple iTunes is one good example. It is a must have application if you own any of the Apple branded mobile device: iPod, iPhone and iPad.
And iTunes is updated fairly regularly. And each of these updates are pretty big (around 90MB).
Apple has not figured out a way to deliver smaller updates if you already have the application installed.
And apparently they do not believe that they are big enough.
Steve Jobs replied to the question in a mail sent to Danny Sullivan:
It’s about the size of one downloaded album. Not so big.
