Apple has finally decided to add support for mobile internet connections to their FaceTime video calling platform.
This feature would be part of the upcoming iOS 6 update.
Apple further announced that users would get a unified id. This means that their Apple ID and mobile number would be merged so that they would be able to use FaceTime over a single identity on their iPhones and iPads.
FaceTime now works over cellular networks as well as Wi-Fi, so you can make and receive FaceTime calls wherever you happen to be.4 You can even make and receive FaceTime calls on your iPad using your phone number. That means you can use FaceTime wherever you are, on any device. And never miss another wink, smile, air kiss, or eye roll.
