Dropbox has confirmed that Apple seems to be blocking apps that feature integration with their platform.
The problem seems to be that the apps send the user to Dropbox website for authentication. Apple is apparently not happy that users can buy additional storage from the same website.
Dropbox tried to please Apple reviewers by removing the link to buying additional storage from the authentication page but even that did not work out.
They have currently removed the ability to create a new account from the authentication platform which has probably resolved the problem with app approval process. But this means that users who do not have an existing Dropbox account would face usability issues.
reminder to iOS developers: if you want to make money in any way related to app, Apple wants a cut. period. bit.ly/IFXWVz

Dropbox said that they are working with Apple to come up with a solution that would work for everyone. For now, you have one more reason to dislike Apple and their walled garden approach towards everything!
