Match.com has become one of the first victims to be removed from the Apple App Store for not offering in-app payments for their paid services.
Match.com mobile app for the Apple iOS platform was apparently allowing users to click on a link and pay outside the app through the mobile browser on the device.
This is against the Apple’s recently changed terms and condition.
Apple requires mobile apps to offer in-app payments in case they are going to charge the user for something. They take a 30% cut on such payments which they cannot implement on external transactions.
Remains to be seen if Match.com would remove the payment option to get back in the App Store or they would comply with the payment rules and give Apple a 30% cut on all transactions made from inside the app.
