Acer has revealed that they are aiming to focus on premium products for their own brand in the European markets.
Their budget segment laptops would be marketed under the brand Packard Bell which they acquired a while ago.
The company aims to create a distinction between the two brands. The idea is to remove all connections between them. Consumers would associate Acer with premium segment products while Packard Bell would offer budget segment items.
It is not clear if they would expand this program to other international markets like America and Asia. Packard Bell has practically no presence in these regions today.
