Rather than ‘Intel Inside’ now, it’s ‘Leap Ahead’ from now on
With its new association with Apple starting this year, the world’s largest microprocessor maker Intel is now unveiling the launch of a totally new brand image for itself. The company is now discarding its popular ‘Intel Inside’ punch line for a new one to reflect its future goals. The new tagline for the company is ‘Leap Ahead’ and the company plans to change its logo to represent the changing markets of the company as well.
Intel is expected to formally launch the new logo and the tag line on January 3. Bill Calder, a representative for Intel said in a statement: “We’re aligning our brand strategy with our platform strategyâ€. The company is now moving ahead of providing technology for the personal computers. There are now targeting to become a part of the today’s living rooms.
The company would now be focusing on entire platforms, including the microprocessor as well as other surrounding chips and chip sets, such as Centrino for laptops able to surf the Internet using Wi-Fi, and the upcoming Viiv platform for home entertainment computers. The new logo does that as it represents the company’s involvement in developing the entire concept rather than just the processor powering it.
