Intel wants better-looking Personal Computers
Apple Computers is better known for making a style statement with their Macintosh range of computers. iBook, iMac and Mac Mini all are a class apart when it comes to looks and style. Even market research has proved that most PC owners are disappointed by how their machines look like. Laptops and Personal Computers are boring and lack style statement.
Now, Intel wants something similar to happen to Personal Computers based on the so called WinTel platform. The microprocessor giant believes that laptop PCs are transforming into “cool fashion tools for consumers” and they need to be given a fashion treatment. PCs should be colorful and dull grey, white, and black colors are out of fashion.
Intel has now gone into a deal with an outfit called Toray to embed a colorful and durable micro-fiber fabric Ultrasuede into laptop casing. The concept laptops from the collaboration feature ultra micro-fiber Ultrasuede fabric integrated directly into the casing of laptop PCs, changing the look and, quite literally, the feel of the system.
